Eclectic - deriving ideas, style, or taste from a broad and diverse range of sources. This is the theme that we went ahead with. We took into consideration homeowners’ avid interest in pottery when designing their home. We incorporated plants with a tinge of terracotta to further enhance the home. Our homeowner wanted to incorporate raw wood instead of using laminates for the cabinets. We used birchwood to enhance the raw side profile of the wood which shows the layered profile. The choice of microcement for the floors gave the home a seamless look and texture. Keeping the existing old door that was in the home, we touched it up with paint to bring out the traditional vibe which was kept consistent in the kitchen backsplash which are usually seen in older buildings. Due to the constraints of a 3 room flat, the toilet is extremely small and we constructed a manmade concret sink to fit nicely into the tight space. The decision to do this further exude the raw vibes. In order to hide the toilet pipes, we created a shampoo niche for our homeowners to use - beautifying the toilet but yet keeping it functional for our homeowners.
